Sir Nick Faldo to Rory: I Told You So
By mustang6560 on 7/5/13
Last fall, six-time major championship winner Sir Nick Faldo warned Rory McIlroy about switching from Achushnet (the parent company of Titleist and FootJoy) to Nike.

As the number one player in the world at the time, he told Rors "It's a very dangerous time" in your career to switch.

After a disappointing first-half of 2013 for Rory, Nick told the current world number two this week, essentially, I told you so.
"Rory very simply messed with a winning formula," Faldo said. "He went from rookie of the year to world No. 1 and been through a lot and thought he could start again.

"As I said from Day One, I tweeted right away when it was announced that this was a dangerous move. I won't get into all the -- people said, 'Oh, he's so talented, he can adapt.' Well, why should the world No. 1 be adapting to something new? As we discovered six months later, he's busy still trying putters, still trying drivers. It's not as easy."
As the controversial Tiger Woods ad said, "Winning takes care of everything." Until Rory starts winning again, his critics will continue to critique his decisions on and off the course!

Woods is the only top player that plays Nike clubs. Henley is the only other one in top 40 of FedEx points and he is at 14 because he won one tournament. It is very rare when I see recreational golfers with any Nike clubs.
They make good shirts and some shoes but that is about all.
