Your missing out on some cool charts...
Jeffry Bartoszek a.k.a. JeffB56
How old are you and what's your occupation?
I am 56 years old. I ‘m a Middle Manager in one of the largest and best Electric and Gas utility companies in the North East.

When did you start playing golf and what's your handicap?
Started over around 5 years ago after giving it up over 35 years back. I never thought I would ever get back into the game, but my good friend Joe Certo got me interested. After just a few rounds out with him and a ton of laughs I was hooked permanently and just can’t get enough rounds in. He actually has labeled me A.T. (Anger Tiger).

How often do you play?
Now I play up 2 to 3 times a week, if I could I would play more.

Tell me about a great shot you've made.
I was at Ash Brook Golf Course in Scotch Plains New Jersey on a Par 4 we were on the third hole. I was about 105 yards out I just hit the sweetest Pitching wedge shot onto the green and it roll directly into the hole, for only a Par.

What is your best golf memory?
My best golf memory is my first trip to Myrtle Beach two years ago. Played 5 straight rounds at some of the best courses I every played since starting over. Seeing a live alligator within 40 yards just away from the group on the grass was just awesome.

What is your "home" course?
Hominy Hill Golf Course in Colts Neck, New Jersey

What ball do you play?
I have been switching between the Titleist ProV1 and the TaylorMade Black LDP.

Clubs?
I just love the TaylorMade equipment that I have in my bag since I started golfing again. The irons have given me the ability of getting the ball a little higher in the air and getting to the greens on many occasions. The TalyorMade Rescue 4 and 5 clubs are round savers out of the second cut rough, and on many occasions now off the fairways. I recently removed my 4 and 5 irons out of my bag and started to use the rescues instead now off the fairways. There are so much easier to hit than irons and you don’t have to worry about getting the loft out of them. I can’t say enough about the new R9 SuperTri I just begun playing with. After just a few balls at the range and some small adjustments with the moveable weighting system, and the Flight Control Technology I have the driver going straighter than in previous rounds.

Favorite pro?
[That’s a tough one. I like so many but Tiger is still my main man, with Phil right behind him. Some of the young bloods I starting to really keeping an eye on are Rory McIlroy and Anthony Kim.

Favorite course you've played?
Hominy Hill Golf Course in Colts Neck NJ without a doubt. Home course with a layout that is so first-class you would not believe you are on a local county course when you are playing. Just trying to set-up a tee time for the weekends in the early AM hours is almost impossible, unless you have fast fingers on your phone or web page access.

Dream course you've yet to play?
That’s an easy one for me Pebble Beach without a doubt, the view alone would be worth the round.

Best round ever- and what course?
Just recently. I was playing Hominy Hill and final had the adjustments on my driver homed in to what I needed. I was hitting over 71 % of the fairways and when you can do that it just so much easier to focus on the rest of your game. Shot an 89 which is my best on one hard course; that one is going to be hard to beat for myself until I get better.

Give me an example of a time your SkyCaddie saved you a stroke?
Just one! That would be impossible to do, especially now since I try to play course management. One of the areas of my game that’s really weak is my short game from 60 yards in, which I try now to avoid if possible. Playing the par 4’s and 5’, I’m relying on the SkyCaddie to give me the correct distance, especially since I’m looking to lay-up within a reasonable distance for my short irons. My strength of my iron game is around the 100 to 125 so that’s basically what I want my second shot to the par 4’s to be. With the par 5’s it’s exactly the same get my ball to a position that I’m comfortable with, so just saving me a stroke is a under statement.

What is one aspect of your golf game you would like to improve on in the next year?
Without a doubt 60 yards to off the green in. Basically now I swear bullets when I’m that close worrying how to get the ball on the green, and staying on. LOL

Tell me a story.
Short but sweet. When I first started over my friend Joe and I would go down to this 9 hole Pitch-Putt course called “Hole in One” and believe me that did not happen with Well here I’m starting over on this short 9 hole course with nothing over 160 yards. Any skilled golfer would just go out armed with sand or pitching wedge with a putter, but not us we have the whole enchiladas in the bags. We reach this dreadful 6 hole with 130 yards to the green with water staring directly in front of us; as I say to myself this is no big thing. No way was I going to let this waterhole beat me; I looked like Kevin Costner from tin cup, give me another ball. After about the fifth ball was I getting anger and Joe was getting his laughs out of it. Well I’ don’t recall exactly have many if took to get over that dam pond, but I think this is how the nickname the Angry Tiger was tagged on me.

Thanks!
