Chris Elton a.k.a.
How old are you and what's your occupation?
I'm a 19 year and I'm in school.

When did you start playing golf and what's your handicap?
I started playing golf when I was about 8 at the driving range but did not join a golf club until I was about 13. I play off 5 at the minute, but hoping to have a successful season and get down to 1 or 2 after my hard winter practice :)

How often do you play?
Now that I have finished school for the summer, I play as much as I can, which is 3-4 times a week. I probably play on the course twice and practice the rest of the time.

Tell me about a great shot you've made.
Playing in my first university match and being the last match out on the course. The score was 3-2 against us and my match was all square on the par 4 18th tee. My opponent hit his drive down the right close to the water but was safe and I crushed one straight down the middle. On our second shots all the other players were around the greens with both teams coaches and managers etc. My opponent could only manage to hit the front left of the green due to him being blocked out by trees and the pin was back right. I stood 160 yards away and hit 7 iron straight down the flag to about 4 foot. It was a pressure shot like I'd never had before and everyone stood around clapping me. I made the putt for a 3 and won my match 1 up to get a draw for the team.

What is your best golf memory?
Winning my first competition as a junior. I shot 6 over gross of 16 and was -4 for the last 3 holes.

What is your "home" course?
Drayton Park Golf Club in Staffordshire, United Kingdom

What ball do you play?
Titleist Pro V1x or Srixon Z-Star

Clubs?
Driver - Taylormade Burner Tour
3 wood - Taylormade Burner Tour
Rescue - Taylormade Tour 18 degree
Irons - Tom Wishon 555m
Wedges - Mizuno MP Tour 51-56-60
Putter - Odyssey 2 ball (the old faithful)

Favorite pro?
Tiger! Growing up loving the game and watching him, I have seen him be almost untouchable in such a competitive sport.

Favorite course you've played?
Carnoustie Championship Course off the Blues, separates the men from the boys :)

Dream course you've yet to play?
TPC at Sawgrass

Best round ever- and what course?
I would say either my 84 around Carnoustie, purely because I played that well. I came off after shooting 84 and felt like I had shot a 64 - a true challenge off the Blues. Or I would say my 69 around my home course a few weeks back. It was the only time I have shot under par around my home course.

Give me an example of a time your SkyCaddie saved you a stroke?
It saves me shots all the time. My wedge play has improved so much
just because I know every yardage exactly and can simply practice to the yardages. Plus, I always have the yardage. However, if I was to pick one time it would have to be going down the 18th at my home course last competition and hitting one onto the next fairway. I needed a par for a 74 and my SkyCaddy simply told me my yardage. Without it, it would have been a guessing game/hit and hope.

What is one aspect of your golf game you would like to improve on in the next year?
Every part, I want to improve all round to become a better golfer.

Tell me a story.
This story is 100% true. I was playing a medal a few years ago with my brother and 2 other gentlemen from my course. Going down the 2nd hole my brother was up a tree and had a punch out up the fairway. The other 3 of us were standing 30 yards ahead of him in the middle of the fairway as he was playing up the left hand side. My brother took his swing and as he swung got his club caught on some overhanging branches but continued to hit the ball which he hit off the shank of the club. We all reacted very quickly ducked and turned and then we couldn't find the ball. We looked for about 5 minutes and could not find it until one of the playing partners said "Whats this in my pocket?" As he reached into the pocket, he pulled out my brothers ball. So the ball must have gone into his pocket without him feeling it. To this day whenever the man at the golf club sees me or my brother he says "I was lucky that day when I nearly took one to the jewels". Makes you think how lucky he was it wasn't as inch inwards otherwise he would have really felt it. :)

Thanks!
