Your missing out on some cool charts...
Dave Streeter a.k.a. d_streeter
How old are you and what's your occupation?
55, retired (Program Management, Lockheed Martin prior to retirement) When did you start playing golf and what's your handicap? I started golf when I was a junior in high school. I played through college when class schedules and weather permitted. I am currently a 12 handicap (striving for single digits!!) How often do you play? Prior to retirement I played 1-2 times per week. After retirement I am trying to play 2-3 times per week. Tell me about a great shot you've made. While playing in a member guest tournament at Laurel Hill Golf Club (Lorton, VA) I drove the Par 4 7th green from the white tees (289 yds). We recorded an eagle on the hole. What is your best golf memory? Winning our golfing groups' Fall Tournament in Myrtle Beach last October 2009. We have a tournament twice a year (May/October) with 16-30 participants. What is your "home" course? Used to be Laurel Hill Golf Club in Lorton, VA. Since retiring and moving to Pawleys Island, SC I am still determining what will be my home course. For now, I'll say Heritage Golf Club I've played it more than any other course so far. What ball do you play? Titleist Pro V1x Clubs? Cobra ZL Driver, Cobra Baffler TWS hybrids (3,4,5), Mizuno MP-52 irons (PW-5), Titleist Vokey wedges (50, 54, 58), and Titleist Scotty Cameron Studio Select Newport 2 putter Favorite pro? Tough question -- used to be Tiger -- now I tend to root for Mickelson Favorite course you've played? I have a tie: Grande Dunes Resort Club and Myrtle Beach National Kings North Dream course you've yet to play? Pebble Beach Best round ever- and what course? 78 (four times...) just repeated this best score at Grande Dunes (SC) this past Thursday, June 3rd; other courses I shot 78 include: Thistle (NC) (West/South), Tigers Eye (NC), and Bristow Manor Golf Club (VA). Give me an example of a time your SkyCaddie saved you a stroke? While playing Myrtle Beach National Kings North, hole 12 (Par 3 Island Green), I used the front and back yardages to bracket my distance. I safely hit the green by relying on my club distance (gap wedge) given the confidence gained from SkyCaddie SGX. What is one aspect of your golf game you would like to improve on in the next year? Short game and putting. I've never had distance problem and generally strike the ball ok. I need to improve my putting to consistently score under 30 putts per round. Tell me a story. I have played golf with a friend for several years and we usually play a little friendly Nassau. About 2 years ago, while playing Laurel Hill Golf Club in Lorton, VA I scored an eagle on hole #7 (short Par 4). I hit a great drive just left and short of the green. My second shot -- a short chip was hit poorly -- in fact, I bladed the ball. The ball hit the hill in the short rough continued onto the green, striking the pin and holing out! My friend was beside himself -- that I could score an eagle with such a bad shot. To this day, that shot / hole is known and the "bladed eagle". And yes, that allowed me to win the front nine match!!
