Copper Mill Golf Club

The championship course at Copper Mill is a refreshingly eclectic mix of old world shot-making and contemporary agronomic conditioning. Weaving its way through open fields of native grasses, centuries-old solitary live oaks, and a landscape dotted with strategically placed bunkers, you may forget you are in South Louisiana-save for the two holes that precociously crisscross Cypress Bayou.

This is a great lay out for a golf course. The fairways are set up to make you hit for landing zones. If you cannot hit landing areas it makes for a long day, with all of the high grass / marsh waste areas. The greens are big well layed out and roll / hold well. The sand traps have a lot to be desired. They do not drain and are full of club damaging gravel. The traps are the reason I only give this a 3 star rating.
