This attractive course was designed by Press Maxwell and is located in the Black Forest area north of Colorado Springs. (The club was previously known as Woodmoor Pines CC.) Access is from Interstate 25, exit 161 (Colorado Hwy 105).

Although the course was closed for a portion of 2013, Monument Hill CC is very much open again. In fact, it is now a semi-private facility, so public golfers are welcome with advance booking.

Beautiful views but very narrow fairways. A lot of mowed grass left on fairways around the edges. Greens very inconsistent with speed so putting was a real challenge all day.

Great staff. As described very narrow - target golf. Has the feel of being in the mountains. Will play again when the greens have recovered from aeration.
  gfarmer - 5/9/13
Very narrow. OB just off the fairway on many holes.

Nestled in the Black Forest, Monument Hill Country Club (formerly known as Woodmoor Pines Country Club) offers a pristine golfing experience with spectacular views of Pikes Peak. The 18-hole championship golf course, designed by renowned architect J. Press Maxwell, is known for its natural beauty, and its long, narrow fairways that challenge even the most seasoned golfers.

Very narrow. OB just off the fairway on many holes, pin placements almost illegal, very close to edge of green.
