Mystic Dunes Resort & Golf Club

The "low country-style" eastern, front nine is reminiscent of classic Carolina-style courses, meandering through native wetlands and marsh areas, bordering oak and cypress forests. The western, back nine has the characteristics of a British Isles links course, with extensive perimeter mounding and pot bunkers as well as large, expansive, sandy waste areas bordering lush green, rolling, sweeping and perfectly manicured fairways. Water comes into play on just one hole - the extremely scenic and challenging par three #11 waterfall hole. Holes 15 through 18 have been called "four of the best finishing holes you’ll find anywhere," according to Golf & Leisure Magazine.

I agree with Green criticism. Pitiful. Only consolation when we complained was an offer to to replay for free. DUH? Cost was $47.00. No warnings on greens at all. I had my clubs UPS shipped to Pro Shop. When I picked them up no one asked for Identification. Just pointed at several sets of clubs and said"Is that yours?" I could have taken any set I wanted. Unprofessional. Will not play again.

This was once a very nice course and could be again. DO NOT PLAY THIS COURSE UNTIL THEY FIX THE GREENS. The greens were compact sand. They need to close and rebuild them. Too bad, I liked everything else about the course.

This Course is not the prize worth of admission, I played this course and the greens are none existing, they have no money to spend on the green by the looks of it, they spend all their money in stocking the pro shop, don't be fooled if you see the pro shop its very nice, but I will never be seen on this in my life, its a great lay out a great classic Classic course but do not play there, the green fee's are $165.00 per round, and its not worth $ 0.50 cents per hole trust me folks, I bounce back and forth from a scratch to 2 handicap I shot 74 from the tips but the greens are none existing, with out a doubt the wort greens I've ever been on, trust me people

Could be a very nice course. The waste areas have better sand then the bunkers. The hole routing needs to be rethought. holes 4, 10, and 15 need a redesign they rely to much on forcing you to play a half shot off the tee.
