MPSGA - Cherry Creek
MPSGA runs 12 single-day events for men age 50 and over. All tournaments include 18 holes of golf with cart, range balls, prizes [gift certificates] and skins by flight. There is no membership cost. The cost for each tournament decreases by the number of events for which one registers. Playing in one event costs $70. Playing in all 12 costs $635 (about $53.00 each). The field is flighted by handicap with about 15 to 20 players per flight (4-6 flights are typical). You receive your full handicap stroke allotment based on your USGA index that week and the course's rating and slope. The A & B flights typically play from tees set at 6,300-6,500 yards with a slope rating ranging from 120 to 135. Lower flights may play from somewhat less difficult tees. USGA Rules govern play. By Local Rule, range finders are allowed.
