 Top 10 PGA Tour Rookies By kickntrue on 1/13/10
Who should you keep your eyes on in 2010? If you're close to PGA Tour golf you know the big name is 21 year old Rickie Fowler, but 19 others rookies will be playing on the PGA Tour this season. Golfweek's Sean Martin breaks down the Top 10 rookies and truly, after Fowler it's a group of completely unknown players. Frankly, I don't know anyone else on the list other than Troy Merritt who won at Q-School this year, so I'll put him as my number 2.
Other sports certainly hype up rookies more than golf but it kind of makes sense. Realistically, only about 5 or 6 of these golfers will ever stick on the PGA Tour for more than a year or two and it's likely that only 1 or 2 will ever win an event.
