World number one Luke Donald accomplished something even Tiger Woods hasn't - he won the PGA Tour and European Tour money list titles in the same year.
I am thoroughly impressed but instead of me describing my feelings about Luke's banner year, I'll let his record speak for itself.
- Defeats Martin Kaymer 3&2 to win the WGC-Accenture Match Play in February.
- Defeats world number one Lee Westwood in a playoff to win the BMW PGA Championship in May.
- As a result of his playoff win in the BMW, he overtakes Lee as the world number one.
- The week before the Open Championship, he wins the Barclays Scottish Open by a solid four strokes over nearest competitor Fredrik Andersson Hed.
- Luke rattled off six straight birdies to close with an eight-under par 64 to win the Fall Series finale at the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals Classic.
- Needing to finish no worse than second to regain the PGA Tour Money List Title from Webb Simpson, the Englishman closed in style Sunday at Disney to win his second event on the PGA Tour.
- The PGA of America presents Luke with its Player of the Year title along with the Vardon trophy.
- And finally, Luke defended his Race To Dubai Title by firing back to back 66s at the Dubai World Championship.
Call me a bandwagon fan, that's fine, but I will be rooting for Luke at EVERY major next year. Forget my current
five favorite golfers, the only thing left for him to accomplish in terms of his career resume is to win a major. I don't want him to be on the same list as Lee Westwood or Sergio Garcia, "best without a major".

breadbasher says:Majors.....just golf tournaments with a label. The Players Championship! How did that become a major? Mustang...what we need is a Matchplay major. How come they're all strokeplay? Controversial? I hope so
