Justin Rose Wins Cadillac Championship By mustang6560 on 3/12/12
Justin Rose took advantage of Bubba Watson's missteps Sunday to win the World Golf Championships-Cadillac Championship.
"I've been very focused on seeing this whole Florida Swing as like a body of work, and not really trying to put too much focus on any individual tournament," he said. "I kind of knew I was playing well, and if I just kept out of my own way for the most part and kept thinking well and doing the right things, I had a feeling something good might happen.Through 54 holes at TPC Blue Monster, Bubba seemed poised to collect his first WGC and fourth PGA Tour victory. But the Florida native struggled early to hit a fairway, which led to three consecutive bogies on holes three, four and five. Despite his up and down play, Bubba had a look at birdie on the par-4 18th to force a playoff with Justin but it slid by the hole. Justin closed with a two-under par 70 to win his fourth PGA Tour tournament over the last two years, which makes him the winningest player during that stretch. He won two tournaments in 2010 (Memorial Tournament and AT&T National) and one in 2011 (BMW Championship). If his recent play is any indication of his future potential, 2012 may be a good year for the Englishman. read more Flickr, Keith Allison [ comments ] no comments posted yet. [ post comment ]
