Peers Show Support For Jarrod Lyle By mustang6560 on 3/22/12
Jarrod Lyle was recently re-diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia, a cancer he beat 12 years ago. In order to show support for the Australian, all of Jarrod's peers in the field this week for the Arnold Palmer Invitation will be wearing a yellow duck pin in his honor. GolfWrx posted a picture of the pin earlier in the week.
Jarrod is already through with the first round of his chemotherapy and provided the following update on his health. "I've spent about a week at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and finished my first round of chemotherapy, so I'm pretty much lying here in bed waiting to get an infection - my immune system was pretty bad before I came in to hospital, now I'm a lot worse," Lyle told SEN this morning. It's great to see the PGA Tour players supporting one of their own. Cancer is a nasty disease, especially a cancer like leukemia. Get well soon Jarrod! read more Flickr, jdsmith1021 [ comments ] no comments posted yet. [ post comment ]
