A Look Back
I'm going to end the year with this article, and take some time to celebrate 2013 for all that it has been.
On the golf front, not one of my best years, but there are lots of reasons for that. First of all, I'm getting older, dammit, and what goes with that is reduced flexibility and strength, and a little shorter fuse, if you know what I mean. I have not handled the adversity in my game with the maturity and wisdom I should have by now, so all that changes for 2014. I'm re-dedicating myself to have more fun with the game, and that starts with taking those nasty effects of aging head-on.
I've re-invented my daily routine to step away from the work load for a while each day to invest in my own "physical plant" — stretching, more exercise, swinging my weighted clubs — things that will make me feel better mainly, but that will have a positive effect on my golf.
The other thing I'm dedicated to is making myself a deadly putter once again. I've neglected that part of my game, so I'm now making it a daily process to stroke 30-50 putts of 4-7 feet on my office putting track.
On the personal front, things are wonderful. My lovely fiancé and I have been in our new home for our first full year and just love living out here in the country. No matter what your day was like, an hour on the back porch watching the birds and deer, soaking in the countryside (with a cocktail of course), just lets you unwind better than anywhere. She still commutes from Houston on the weekends, but we hope that is short-lived. And maybe we'll finally get around to that wedding ...
On the business front, it has been exciting. Our revolutionary approach to the short end of the set is building believers daily. We have robotic testing proof that our SCOR4161 Precision Scoring System is a better way to build out the high-loft end of your set, regardless of your skill level. Our shot dispersion patterns have been proven on Iron Byron to be 45-65% tighter than anything in the "wedge" category, and 65-85% better than the thin-face, distance irons that are the rage. That technology might make for a long-hitting 6-iron, but we have proven that it simply does not work in the clubs over 40 degrees of loft.
We would like the chance to prove that to you, because it will help take strokes off your scores, regardless of your skill level.
So, I hope you don't mind my self-indulgence today, but this is my favorite time of the year. Time to reflect on all the blessings in our life, beginning with the greatest blessing of all — the gift of Jesus Christ to all of us, by our great God.
Merry Christmas to all of you. And may 2014 make your wildest dreams come true. Or at least give you cause to keep pursuing them.

So many reasons to play golf. Lenape Valley club is inviting my colleagues and me to create a team and play golf. As scholars and writers, we are ready to give a try. The routine of assignment, when I do my essay or write a report, causes major health issues. So, sport will be a super option.
