What happens when a bunch of golf addicts (with no local course) get together? They might form a non-profit organization, purchase land, volunteer their money, their equipment, some construction materials, and a few thousand hours of labor. When that happened just outside Fertile, they built this charming, northwoods-style nine-hole course that is open to the public.

Among the course's features are a covered bridge, a cliff-hanger tee box, and an "Eisenhower tree" at number 4.
