Municipal course that obviously generates a lot of play. Pace of play was almost 5 hours on a late Saturday morning. Cost was $47 with a cart. Fairways and greens maintained pretty well but still a muny not resort or private club so there are some warts on it. Water in play a few times and some trees as well. One of my playing partners said that the course had served a a qualifier for one of the PGA tourneys in the area for many years. I would walk it next time as it is relatively flat. Overall a decent muny.

Course layout is great, reachable par 5s, testy par 3s. The greens were not up to it's normal standards, too long between watering I guess as the greens were crusty and bumpy. Texas has had a long hot summer and a lot of courses / greens really suffered.

As of Sep 1, 2011, this course is in excellent shape considering the temperature has been ver 100 degrees for nearly all of the last 60 days.

Sherrill Park is the best city course in the area. Greens are true and well kept, as are the fairways. Ronny and the staff are awesome. I've been to semi and private clubs that could take lessons in hospitality from Sherrill Park.
