While Club de Golf Royal Québec dates to 1874, this facility opened in 1925 with a course that had been planned in 1923 by Willie Park, Jr. However, Park fell ill and returned to his native Scotland, where he died in 1925. Howard Watson designed the second course, which opened in stages during the 1950s.

Visitors are welcome at Royal Québec, although advance booking is highly recommended; the standard visitor walking rate is C$95 (carts are C$43).
