I played in an FSGA Four ball tournament at Santa Lucia River Club. None of our foursome had ever played there and that was a problem because all the pins were yellow flags and there was no pin sheet provided. Even though I had my Skycaddie SGX, it was difficult to establish pin locations on the greens. Tee boxes were not numbered and directions to tee boxes was not sufficient for new comers. These things increased time to complete the round and detracted from experience of playing the course. I had high expectations of the course but maybe I expected too much. It was a challenging course which I liked but the lack of attention to detail and expected features detracted from the experience.
