Beautiful course. A little pricey, but well worth it. The holes along river are great. Will play it again when I return.
There is a good reason this course ranks highly on the list of best courses in the world. Even without the amazing scenery, the course is difficult but fair...not a silly hole out there. Add in the beautiful views and its hard to beat. A bit expensive but the tee sheet is 99% full every day of the week.
It is a bucket list course for the scenery. The course has a great layout making it very fun and not very tough but stay out of the bunkers as they have a lot of ROCKS in them and are very inconsistent in the amount of sand. Played with a local "Tony" and he made the day with his knowledge of area and course. He should be the mayor of Banff!! Only disappointment was the amount of people that do not repair ball marks and rake the bunkers!
The course was almost ready for the TELUS skins and in immaculate condition. Beautiful views everywhere, cannot be faulted. There was a lot of groundsmen out working but they all showed courtesy while we were playing and were always friendly and willing to have a quick chat.
Played May 11/12
Early season rate 155.00 per golfer with cart. Valid until end of May. Nice course to play, scenery beautiful, not too difficult. My Wife and I had fun even though very windy that day. Good early conditions...except the bunkers..not maintained that day? Must play it once.
great course, greens are typical mountain style.....very hard to read. lots of two and three putts if you don;t take the time to read. course will play easy for the low handicap golfer. The price is outragious at $250 CAN for a round.
