Walton Heath has two courses (Old and New) which, together, have hosted some 90 notable events, including five European Opens, the 1981 Ryder Cup Matches and, most recently, U.S. Open qualifying. Both courses were designed by Herbert Fowler, who was related by marriage to club founder Sir Henry Cosmo Bonsor.

The Old Course (1904) is a charming heathland-style layout with a bit of a links feel, since the bunkers are large and fringed by heather. From the tips, this course plays to 7,462 yards, SSS 75. Ernie Els has complimented the par-4 sixth hole, while Tom Weiskopf has expressed high regards for the closing six holes, particularly the 16th. As Bernard Darwin described it, "The second shot is the thing - a full shot right home on to a flat green that crowns the top of a sloping bank. To the right the face of the hill is excavated in a deep and terrible bunker, and a ball ever so slightly sliced will run into that bunker as sure as fate." Normally a 535-yard par-5, it plays as a 475-yard par-4 for professional tournaments.

The New Course opened in 1907 with nine holes; the second nine opened in 1913. Stretching to over 7200 yards from the tips, this course include eight par-4s over 400 yards long.

Visitors and societies are welcome with advance arrangement. Summer visitor rates per round are £135 weekdays and £165 weekends.
