While the club was formed in 1896 as "Shipley & Saltaire Golf Club" with a course located at Moorhead. The club moved to this site in 1921 with a course designed by the legendary Alister MacKenzie.

Visitors are welcome on Sundays through Fridays at £45. Juniors and guests of members receive various discounts.
