Ramsey Golf and Bowls Club was formed in 1922 as a Mens Club, it was used by the local businessmen who were predominately solicitors, farmers and shop owners. The first premises were rather humble, a room was rented in the 'Great Whyte' in the centre of town where ale was served. As the club prospered it was decided to purchase the old vicarage which is still occupied today with of course some additional buildings being added on. Although having some modern history upon which sound standards are set, Ramsey Golf and Bowls Club is a vibrant and forward thinking club; with 700 members across all categories
