The course is in a great setting with parkland, water all around and Red Kites flying above. I have a played a couple of times and the second time Oct 2015 the course was in really good condition apart from the first couple of greens which had been treated. Overall a challenging course with a few stand out holes (par 3 over water to a semi island green!!

Played this on a Golfbreaks, two round, one night deal, so was always going to be good value for money. The weather had been unkind and therefore not only did we get wet, but the course was horribly soggy. Many bunkers full of water or GUR and much casual water elsewhere, so some better attention needed with drainage. Also the greens were ok from a speed point of view but a pretty nasty cut took a lot of break out and the ball did not hold its line well due to too many imperfections. The fairways on the front 9 in need of some TLC as were scruffy. Shame as it is a reasonable layout and the back 9 is a good one. The 16 & 18th stood out as particularly good. 4 1/2 hrs round for a fourball on a busy course is just about acceptable. Hotel very corporate and soulless. Watch out for the usual sting on drinks prices and rubbish beer. Dinner in carvery was poor, but bar snacks and burgers etc much better.

Played with a load of friends from my normal golf course on a special deal which was extremely good value. The course was let down by incredibly bobbly greens that had been spiked but not rolled. The bunkers were hit and miss, some were flooded, others just hard pan, and a few had loads of soft sand, a real lottery, but the weather has recently been pretty awful.
The tee times are too close together and pace of play was awful, well over 2 hours for the first SEVEN holes!!!
Would be a good course in better weather with some reasonable course maintenance and less busy. Having said that a 2 handicapper in our fourball managed to play to his handicap!

Very good course, but a little pricey and for a large society there was no on site conceirge or hospitality coordinator which I felt was poor. But facilities and course are very good, scorecard looks longer than it plays in reality with subtle dips and rises.

Great course, makes you think about your shots, quite a bit of water to catch you out and quite a few risk/reward holes. Overall would definately recommend the course, was a 2 hour drive for us and would definately play it again.
