Disappointed with this course, I had played it a couple of years before and thought it to be a great track, well maintained and in good condition. This time round I found it requiring a great deal of TLC. Greens poor, even taking into consideration the time of year.
Will not be rushing back anytime soon.

Great track, bunkers are set up to punish small mistakes and that detracts from what is a great course that's well maintained

Out today on a 'vital Resourse' corperate day- \smashing people & good a company.
Very lucky with the weather and the 4 ball company was excellent. The only downside was the course is in transition from winter to spring/summer and the recent weather had not helped it's condition, but the 'old course' played well & looked as good as possible. Well worth the day out, very happy golfer ;-)

The old course was the best out of the two coures.
on the sunday we played the old course. I had a very good round with three good golfres. The Monday was very wet under foot the golf was ok, on a good day the course would be very good but dew to the weather

What can i say very dissapointed, we played the Mathern course and yes it was raining no starter man in club shop took money and said start when you like as it was not very busy. What he should of added was not very busy as the drainage on the greens is non exsistant. Gave up after 9 holes as trying to putt was not possible due to the wake the ball was making crossing the greens. Overpriced Poor condition could do with some work on the drainage and someone to tell you how bad the course is before parting with your money. Not what you expect from a big name hotel golf course, come to think of it yes it is get money in get as many people out as possible.

Tough track off the whites. Not a huge fan of the trees just off to the left on most par 4s - not a good course for a slicer.

Old course is one of my favourite courses whith lots of variation and testing holes. Mathern is a good second course, which makes you think about your next shot. Skycaddy a must with all the hidden hazards.
