This club dates to 1894, although they moved to this site in Bretby, just east of Burton-upon-Trent and just across the border from Staffordshire. The course dates to 1907 and a design by the legendary Harry S. Colt.

Visitors are welcome with advance arrangement; an valid golf handicap certificate is required. Societies also are welcome on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays during the summer.

An enjoyable course with a good variety of holes to test the average golfer. Well maintained course with excellent practise facilities, very hospitable clubhouse and above average and well stocked professional's shop.
