This course is located in the South Branch Valley between Moorefield and Petersburg, between the South Branch of the Potomac River and U.S. Highway 220. Originally designed by Russell Roberts and later redesigned by Bill Ward, the course was built in 1968 and plays to 6400 yards from the tips at a par 71. Four sets of tees stretch the course from 4,928 to 6,154 yards. Water is in play on eight holes, with a scattering of 41 sand bunkers and trees along nearly every fairway.
