Not to be confused with nearby Kanawaki Golf Club (located just to the north on St. Isodore Road), this 27-hole facility lies just 20 minutes from downtown Montreal. It opened with nine holes designed by Angus Patton, but became a 27-hole layout by the end of the 1970s.

The course name is an Anglicization of the Iroquois Mohawk word kahnawà:ke, meaning "village of the rapids" - a reference to the original Catholic Mohawk settlement along the Mohawk River in New York.

This is a fun course with cheap green fees. Very walkable. 15 minutes from downtown Montreal. Awesome Value!
