Golf has been played her since 1890, but five-time Open champion and prolific architect James Braid made the first formal design to the 9-hole layout in 1926. The course was expanded to 18 holes in 1972 following the purchase of adjacent property. The course is located on some very attractive rolling terrain in the Scottish Borders region.

rough is brutal
should penalise the shot not cost the player a golf ball every time you enter it, this just makes for very long rounds as everywhere you looked groups were searching the rough
