Lightning fast greens! Conditions were good. Nice layout that challenges you to use every club in the bag. Great overall muni with a nice range, bar area and pro shop. Staff were great! At $40 it is also a great value.

The city of Jacksonville Beach should be ashamed of their golf course. If you are going to have a golf course with your name on it, you should be willing to provide the necessary funding and expertise to support the facility and keep it up. I am sure you will not get return visiting golfers and locals in the Jacksonville area will not better than to waste their money. I personally wouldn't play it inj its current condition (which is the norm not the exception) for free!

I must have caught this course at a bad time, but it sucked! Greens were tore up with some fungus and the fwys were crusty and bare. We did see 2 bald eagles on the latter half of the back 9. That was about the only nice thing.

It's your basic muni, usually in decent shape, but sometimes can get a bit crusty. It gets a LOT of play, they do the best they can on a city budget. If $150 Ponte Vedra golf is not your thing then this is a fun alternative.
