This course was Peter Matkovich's first solo golf course design when it opened in 1991. Matkovich has since returned to the course for the re-seeding and rebuilding of the greens to the USGA's tri-layer specification.

Visitors are welcome here, but advance booking is essential. Non-affiliated visitors pay R450, while affiliated visitors pay R130. Club members and hotel guests have the preferred access.
