Jack Nicklaus's design firm designed both courses at Superstition Mountain Golf & Country Club, located on the eastern edge of the Phoenix metropolitan area at the foot of the breathtaking Superstition Mountains — hence the name. This is a private club, although stay-and-play packages at their luxury villas are available.

The PROSPECTOR COURSE opened in 1998, a design between Jack Nicklaus and his son Gary. LOST GOLD is a desert/links course designed for playability with wide fairways, slightly smaller greens, and strategic bunker placements.
