This mature, parkland-style course debuted in 1926 with a design by the notable architect James Foulis, whose presence looms large in Chicago golf history. A number of revisions and improvements have occurred in the intervening decades. While no practice range is available, a 40-yard warm-up area with nets is provided.

A hidden little gem. Clever design on a rolling piece of land. Lots of gentle elevations changes. Greens were fast and true. Tight tree lined fairways, demands a straight tee shot. a creek winds through the course and comes into play on many holes. 3 sets of tees, but 6 variations of play, allow for any skill level to play from 5000-6800 yards.

As an older course it lacks practice amenities, a small chipping area and a small putting green. No real driving range, a covered hitting area with about 6-10 stations hitting into a net about 40 yds out makes for the range.

No Bev cart service and no water coolers. 2 spots where bottled water was stored in a chest with ice. Halfway house on back side of the course. Clubhouse offers full dining as well as an area for snacks and lunches. Banquet facilities as well.
