Golfed here on a beautiful Chicago day. It was a Wednesday and there was hardly anyone out enjoying the course and I now know why. While the fairways are in good shape, the sand traps are awful, not even playable in holes 1-14, washed out. They had just aerated the greens and I fully accept that as that is what happens this time of year. I tried to politely ask a question about the sand traps to the pro shop, and the man (whom I'm assuming was the pro) got quite offended and came back with a snap remark on how much it costs to redo sand traps and how Chicago got 3 1/2 inches of rain a week ago. I've been playing golf for over 20 years in Chicago and haven't played sand traps in that bad of shape. Too many golf courses in the area to be treated like that and deal with conditions like that. I won't be back and I will spread the word.

What a nice golf course. Greens were excellent. Very firm and fast, but rolled very true. You really can't ask for anything better. Variety of holes is very nice. The fairways were in very good condition as well. Be careful though. This course is really tight, with well positioned bunkers and water hazards. You must keep your ball straight if you are to score well here. Really enjoyed playing here and will definitely come back again.

Pace of play was good, but it was a weekday before twilight. The groups ahead of me were very accommodating let my twosome play through, which helped pace of play. Bunkers were in bad shape, but with the weather in the area, this was expected to some degree. Greens were fast. I was playing a on a discounted, which made this bearable. A scenic course if you can ignore the fact that you have houses surrounding the course. I found the OB to be stupid once again with houses tight up to some holes. Plenty of other nice courses that don't have houses on the course. No thanks for playing this one again. Too bad, because I found the clubhouse nice and the staff very pleasant. No driving range, bev cart service OK. No GPS in the carts.

Would like to play this course when it has not had 4 inches of rain in the 2 days before I played.
