The R.N. Thompson firm replaced the original 9-hole Hawthorn Hills course with 27 completely new holes, made up of three nines (Lakes, Valley and Ridge). Ironwood GC is located in Fishers, just northeast of Indianapolis.

The standard 18-hole rates (with cart) are $35 weekdays and $44 weekends. Early-bird, 9-hole, and weekend-twilight rates are also available.

The best course I have played in Indiana.

Played Lakes/Ridge 7/14/11; fairways and tees in very good condition; green speeds were quite inconsistent with those in the shade slow, those in the sun much more speedy. Pace of play was good, resulting in 4hr 20 minute round. Good time of year to play the course!
