Braeburn GC is open to the public and located at 21st and Oliver on the Wichita State University campus. Golf was first played here in 1897, but the current course dates to the 1920s when it opened as "Crestview Country Club." When that private club moved to a new location on the east side of Wichita in 1968, the university pounced upon the opportunity to own and operate a home course for the Shockers men's and women's golf teams.

Braeburn's 18 holes are described as challenging enough for advanced players, but still beginner-friendly. In fact, this course is a NGCOA recognized "beginner-friendly" facility and features a long practice range, a short range, and putting greens where the teaching professionals cater to a wide variety of players and students.
