Old Warson is the host of the 2009 U.S. Women's Amateur Championship. This private club was founded in 1953, and the RTJ-designed course opened on April 15, 1954.

Old Warson has hosted several Saint Louis-area Metropolitan Amateur Golf Association championships, the 1971 Ryder Cup Matches (U.S. team) and the 1999 U.S. Amateur (Danny Green).
