Only played here once because it is pricy compared to other local courses. It's beautiful. Wish I could play there in October, it must be spectacular with the changing leaves. Every where you look, there is a gigantic emphasis on quick play - signs, clocks. We were the first to tee off and took less than an hour and a half to play 9 holes. Both my golf partners left after 9 holes to go to work and I continued on. As a single, I was invited to play through twice (very nice of them) and did not see anyone until the 16th hole. In addition to being painful to watch, they played poorly. 16, 17 and 18 took just about 1 hour to play. While waiting on the 18th fairway (finally) I was approached by a ranger. Apparently these women are the bane of Eastman. They are the exception, not the rule, per the ranger. As I mentioned, the course is beautiful and challenging. First time I encountered the "red and green light houses." On holes where you can not see the group in front but they are still in range, the light is red. When they move away, the light turns green. Great safety feature. Very friendly and accomodating pro shop. I'll give this course another try this summer but will bring a cell phone to call a ranger for slow play, if needed.
