Houston Oaks has been rated by Golf Digest as one of the Top 10 golf courses in Kentucky. It is the only 18-hole golf course located in the city and is open to the public (memberships and outings are welcome). The club also advertises as having the only female course superintendent in the state, in the person of Megan Vanarsdale.

The public walking rates are $25 weekdays and $33 weekends (carts are $14).

Great course for the price. Challanging par 3s with trouble keep you honest. Palyed it the day after a storm with 75mph winds and they had already removed some huge trees from the fairways. I hope to play it again soon.
