I sat at work watching the thermometer online. Eventually it got to 38 degrees so I bid farewell to my co-workers and raced over to our city's executive course at 2pm. Front nine looked crowded so I started on #10. A couple holes were still covered in icy snow so I played a modified version of golf. If I hit the green and it bounced way over the green, I called it a GIR and 2-putt. If it stayed on the green or fringe, I played it. After #18 I jumped to #3 and played them in order to #7. Then played #1 and #2 before jumping across the road to play #8 and #9. Good time. Very comfortable.
This could be it. Even with the 38-39 degrees the ground is frozen and the greens were barely thawed or like a rock depending on the exposure. We are getting rain the next two days and then the temperature is supposed to plunge.
