As I think I have said recently, April is for scoring (ha, ha, ha!)
About 45 degrees at the start and rising to 55 at the end. Sunny with a breeze of about 10 mph. With the cool temperatures and breeze, playing into the wind was long.
Course was soft but not soggy. Greens were running average speed and fairly smooth. Very decent shape for mid-April.
I should have shot around 85 considering my inconsistency off the tee and marginal iron play. Something magical was working with my wedge and chipping game. Even when those weren't working, the putter came through. I made a 40 foot breaking putt on #15 that was center of the hole with perfect pace. Where the eff did that come from?
bkuehn1952 says:If only I could remember the magic. Tomorrow I will be complaining about striking the ball well and getting nothing from the putter.
