Hadn't had an opportunity to get out and play in a while so I decided to hit the course early and arrive at work around 11-11:30. Worked perfectly as I was the first out on the course. 65-70 degrees and humid. Little wind, maybe 5 mph. Mostly cloudy and had some light rain for the final 3 holes.
Greens were smooth and moderately paced. Had been aerated several weeks ago and there was almost no sign of holes, just still a bit sandy. Fairways were firm and allowed some bounce & roll.
This was one of those rounds that could have been very good or mediocre depending on how the chips rolled and the putts fell. Had some nice looks at birdie, lipped a couple, but the only one I got was an unexpected chip in. Ultimately, the score pretty much reflects how I played. Not spot on but close enough to save some pars for a decent score.
