Perfect weather, little breeze.
Course was firm. Greens slow.
Played the front nine quickly as I started late in the day. Second nine I ran into the tail end of an outing. It was slow but tolerable until #16. 4 groups on the hole or waiting. Sat for close to 20-25 minutes, then promptly duck hooked the ball into the trees on the left. Pitch out, wedge on and three putt. Sigh. Now I sit on #17 for another 20-25 minutes. Finally clear to hit and I duck hook my drive into the pond fronting the green. Sigh. #17 tee is adjacent to the parking lot and I just decided to call it a day rather than play #17 and then sit on #18 for another half hour. It was already 6:30 and I was hungry.
Recorded a "6" for #17 and "5" for #18. I gave myself the benefit of the doubt that I wouldn't duck hook my drive on #18 into the pond, too. Considering the situation, that was probably a bit optimistic.
