38 degrees, a breeze of 10 mph that increased to 15+ as the day wore on. Fairways were spongy and did not give a lot of bounce & roll. Greens were fairly smooth and moderate in speed.
I was rolling along on the "Hills", playing 1,2,3 then jumping to the "Woodlands" and played 12,13,14 when I ran into two groups. Jumped back to the Hills and finished 4-9. At that point it was which group did I want to follow. I started on the "Woodlands" (#10) and at the end of #11 jumped to #15. It was starting to get colder and more windy and this douche bag single in front of me proceeded to play 3-4 balls off each tee and saunter along like it was the middle of summer. I was really getting cold and needed to move but there was no where to go. Limped in making bogey on 3 of the 4 closing holes. I was "on" for about 90 minutes but as soon as I had to play behind some of the slower groups the cold took its toll.
Hey, why am I complaining? It is late November, the ground is not frozen and I played 54 holes over the past 5 days for $43.00 total. Life is good. Frankly, the cold is more livable than the crowded courses of mid-summer.
