Beautiful day, Played with Keith and his buddies, Bill and Jeff. Enjoyed playing with them. Had a decent round which started well with a birdie on the first. Had driver under control all day, but approach shots weren't all that great. 41 on the front was due to no doubles, not so much lots of pars. The back was average and started with what I thought was a great 5W off the tee on the par 3 10th, but hit it long (about 220) and over the green into red staked area. Penalty, but then pitched up hill with 60* wedge to 2 ft to save bogey. On 14, purposely cut the dogleg perfectly and put the ball on the front fringe leaving me with the same eagle putt I had 6 years ago, the first time I played this course. Unfortunately, it took 3 putts to get it down this time around and ended up with a par. Only 1 double the whole round. All in all, considering I didn't really know the course, which certainly hurt me on a couple strokes, it was a pretty decent round.
DougEly says:I thought they were perfect speed. Slower than Oxford Greens, but not slow. I'd say about a 10 stimp.
