Decided to give Woodbridge another shot since my last round there was so bad. Played with Keith O again. This round was a little better, but still not what I was hoping for. Driving was inconsistent. Hit many good drives, but also got in trouble with a few. Had to punch out of trouble on 3 or 4 occasions today due to errant drives. I played okay for the most part. Only one truly bad hole on the 9th. Hit driver long, through the dogleg into deep rough with large overhanging trees in my path to the green. Tried a 6 iron punch, but caught tree limb and fell back into deeper rough, 40 yards ahead. Then tried to punch out again and ball got caught in the high fescue and traveled only another 40 or 50 yards, but back out into the fairway. Finally hit a decent shot, but missed the green, right, by about 5 yards. Pitched on with 60*W and right over the hole, but rolled out to about 8 ft. 2 putt for triple. Missed many putts I should have made. Had trouble again with these greens, though they were better than the last time I played here. I feel another 2 or 3 rounds here will get me comfortable with the place. Definitely need more local knowledge to play it well. It's a tricky track. One highlight of the day was making a par save on the 18th after putting tee shot into trees, punching out with 6i back into fairway, hitting PW from there, 112 yards to 21 feet, and holing the putt. Parred 3 of the last 4 holes to salvage a decent score.
