80 degrees and sunny. A bit humid. Played with two nice guys from Toronto. The course was in really good condition, but this track is tight, which wasn't good on a day that my driver was not working too well. Was having lots of timing issues. Did hit 4 or 5 good drives, but too many poor ones too. Hit irons pretty well and made some nice putts. Chunked an easy chip which helped lead to a double.
Really concerned with the issues I am having with my 5W and driver. Also, still seem to be weak on distance, not only off the tee, but across the board. Everything seems about 5-10 yards shorter than normal. Maybe I am just losing strength as I age, but I hope that's not the case yet.
Overall, was pretty disappointed in my play, but there were some instances of greatness. Putted very well from 10 feet and in all day, but lag putts were always coming up way short. Greens were pretty true, though a touch slower than I like. Had third birdie this week on 18th after 117-yard 9 iron to 3'.
Gotta get to the range to work out my driver, 5W and even hybrid issues. Maybe tomorrow and a late day nine with Mare.
Saw a couple gators in the ponds, but none close up.
