A humbling day. Hit lots of fairways, but had trouble with the turf for some reason. Fat and thin shots all round. Was cutting my hybrid way more than I like. Wind was rough again, ground still wet, though not AS bad as it has been the last couple days. Had plenty of scoring opportunities, but had too much trouble making GIRs. Greens were very fast. Early on, blew many putts by. Got nervous after that, then got girly and couldn't reach the hole on a number of putts on the back even as the wind blew all day and they dried out more and got faster still.
Feel better about my distances. Guy I played with reminded me that we are at sea level and suggested playing an extra club, even in calm conditions.
Hit some good drives today, but didn't capitalize. Fairways were generous.
Waited almost 3 years to get back to Sarasota National. Played kinda poor. Anti-climactic return. Oh well, it was a beautiful day, about 70 degrees, blue skies, course in great shape, nothing to cry about.
