65 degrees. Light breeze. Beautiful afternoon. Tough start on 1 after good drive and nice approach which bounced hard on the green and off the back about 8 ft into the rough. Flubbed my chip, then chipped again and rolled just off the front. Finally chipped a good one to 1 ft. Only double bogey of the round. Pars on 2 and 4, Birdied 6, Then par on 9. Actually went on to play the 10th and 11th before dark. Par on 10 after a near perfect 61 ft put to 6".
It is quite clear now that 9 holes at a time is all the shoulders can take. I doubt I will get any 18-hole rounds in before the surgery, but if I find a day that both feel okay after 9, I may push it. As of now, I'm still afraid to do more damage, as I was warned by the doctor.
