Nice evening. Went out at 5:30. Finished 18 at dusk. Played pretty well. Short game was pretty good, but putting was only fair. Had 4 3-putts that ruined an otherwise pretty nice round. Used a 1/2 swing PW on 6 from 55 yards to 1 foot for bird. Chipped out of deep greenside rough on 12 to 1 foot. Chipped from fringe on 14 to 1 foot. Feel more confident chipping than lag putting from fringe. So much chipping and short pitching practice since the surgery is really paying off. Hit irons much better today, hybrids too. Took the Adams 3 hybrid out of bag and put back the old Nike CPR. Now playing both old CPRs. Really hit them well....and longer than I used to before switching to the Adams. Hit driver nearly perfect. Hit slight draws when needed them, and played a slight cut on one hole where I needed it. It seemed like I could hit any shot I wanted today, except a simple putt. Only missed two fairways all round and both of those were very playable. Only bad tee shot of the day was par 3 16th. Ended up in deep pot bunker. Otherwise would have had 100% playable drives. Very satisfying round, but right shoulder was quite uncomfortable by 4th or 5th hole. Lots of ice upon return home.
