Gorgeous afternoon. Played with a couple from NJ who were playing here for the first time. Uma and Margaret. An unlikely duo. He was Middle Eastern and she Irish, is my guess. Very nice. More than I can say for my game. I think I am officially in a slump. Very inconsistent again today. 4 or 5 poor shots again. Putting was off too. GIRs way down lately. Really hurting scores as a result. Had a couple great chips today, which were the highlight of my round. Drove the ball okay for the most part, but got in trouble on 7 with a slight pull into lateral. Had a couple slices too. One on 5 and again on 6. Guess I over corrected on 7. Worst hole of day was on 10. Hit decent drive, then good hybrid, but rolled into drainage area and onto drain. Took free drop, but ball was on funny downhill lie. Made poor swing and barely got it half way to green. Then hit line drive pitching wedge over back of green. Chipped well short. Then to top it off, 3-putted. Sickening hole today, since I usually like playing that hole and regularly par it. Hit my hybrids better today, but still not like I had been all season. Left shoulder didn't really bother me much today, so can't blame it on that. Didn't have much confidence over the ball. Maybe a couple days off will help.
