Played with Keith. Got stopped at the 6th for lightning and thunder. Went inside for 1/2 hour. Came back and lost rhythm. Although, did hit a monster drive on 8th, about 280 yards. Actually, did not play that poorly until tripling 14th after putting a very good drive into hazard on left by a foot or two. Had to take penalty. Then sliced a drive off 15th tee into woods and had to take another. Those were the only two bad holes. Just some unfortunate results from good swings otherwise, like my good 3H out of rough on 12 from 212 out onto the green...then off the back. Or, the flyer on 17 from 145 out with a 7 iron. One yard shorter and I land on the downslope left of the green and would have fed on. Instead, hit the top of the ridge and bounded over into deep rough behind the green. Should have parred the hole. Didn't hit the ball badly at all today except for a few bad drives that cost me.
DougEly says:Caught his 18th hole finish on SiriusXM PGA Network on car radio right after I finished, and saw a few minutes of it while I was sitting out the weather delay in the clubhouse. That's 3 this year. No one else has 3 yet. I'd say, he is for real again.
